Tuesday, February 23 at 4 PM, Makuu will host Diversi-Tea: Conversations with Campus Leaders on the 2nd Floor of Van Pelt–Dietrich Library with Dr. Brian Peterson. Tea and cookies will be served.
Wednesday, February 24 at 7 pm in Arch 108 LAGAPSA presents Undocumented Students in Higher Education. This conversation will tackle the tough reality of pursuing education as an undocumented immigrant.
Thursday, February 25 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the Graduate Student Center Room 305, join the Black Male Educators Convening (BMEC) for their program: Building a Pipeline for Black Male Educators. This discussion focuses on how black males can become more involved and employed in the field of education.
Friday, February 26 at 6 pm in Wu & Chen Auditorium (3330 Walnut St.) BGAPSA presents Talking Back: A Sex-Positive Conversation about Black Female Sexuality with Feminista Jones and Jamilah Lemieux! Feminista Jones is a New York Native, trained social worker, and advocate for women’s physical, mental and sexual health. Jamilah Lemieux is a Chicago native, Howard graduate, and the Senior Editor of EBONY magazine. We are so honored to have these influential ladies lead a conversation that celebrates black womanhood and sexuality.
